How to Repair your HP Pavilion DV9000 keyboard

There is no doubt that it is possible to replace individual keys on your Dell Inspiron 1525 Battery! Note that the same laptop model can have several different types of hinge mechanisms under the HP Pavilion DV9000 keyboard. That is fine, what matters most is the shape of the hinge piece.
Here, I'll give you some steps on how to replace your Dell Inspiron 1525 Battery
Step 1: Orient the hinge and base piece. The U-shaped plastic base piece must be oriented as shown for it to fit beneath the metal laptop keyboard hooks. The main hinge mechanism will lock into this U-shaped frame piece later. If the U-shaped piece is still intact on your HP Pavilion DV9000 keyboard, there should be no need to remove it.
Step 2: Center and insert the base piece. Place the bottom edge of the base HP laptop keyboard piece under the two metal tabs on the base of the HP Pavilion DV9000 keyboard. This works best at about a 45 degree angle. Secure the sides of the base piece into place, one side at a time. In this example, the left side is being secured first. You can bend each side of the plastic piece a bit to duck it under the metal laptop keyboard. All three sides of the U-shaped frame piece should now be hooked under the metal tabs protruding from the base of the HP Pavilion DV9000 keyboard.
Step 3: Place the rubber spring piece. If your HP Pavilion DV9000 keyboard is missing the rubber spring piece, place it in the center, with the large end down. It will be held in place by the surrounding hinge bracket in a moment. When the HP Pavilion DV9000 keyboard pops free from both edges, pull it toward you at an angle, releasing the rear of the HP laptop keyboard from the laptop.
Step 4: Replacing the Dell Inspiron 1525 Battery is the opposite, remembering to press firmly on the center of the HP Pavilion DV9000 keyboard (around the trackpoint) to ensure the connector is seated properly. You will probably need to flex the HP laptop keyboard again and possible pull the HP Pavilion DV9000 keyboard bezel edges outward slightly, bending the center upward as you press down on both edges to get them under their locking tabs before pressing the connector into place.
